Many of us, are disconnected from our bodies. Many of us modern people tend to move around, as Thich Nhat Hanh describes “lost in thought,” disconnected from our bodily experience and the living, sensual world that surrounds us.

If you think about how much your attention, posture and movement have shifted just in the last 20 years, with the increase of screen use, and organizing ourselves around cell phones, let alone the changes in humanity over the last thousand or fifty thousand years. Though our daily behaviours and activities have changed significantly, our physiology, our nervous systems - our psyches have not, and the intelligence of our bodies is often right there under a thin surface level dust of forgetting.

In this 5-day workshop we will be gathering for few hours a day to come home to our bodies. To remember ease, intelligence & power in how we move and to weave ourselves back into relationship with the living universe, mother Earth and our temples – our bodies. Inviting balance and alignment, back into our everyday life.

The workshop was a combination of exploring movement and balance individually and with partners, and expressing our feelings with our voices. At times in this workshop I found myself processing deep emotions, and at other times beaming with enjoyment in the sensations of moving my body. The theory about the body and how it works was also very helpful. I felt very connected to myself and others after the workshop.
